How to remove crying from a home video

- 1 Drop your video or audio file into SoundScrub.

Why the usual fixes fall short
Crying sits right on top of the talking, so anything that turns the crying down takes the voices with it. Muting the cries cuts the moment you were trying to keep.
Another way
If crying runs through the whole clip rather than coming in bursts, turn detection off so it's treated as constant. If all you want is a spoken line, Keep only "people speaking" drops the crying along with everything else that isn't talking.
Honest heads-up
If the crying is the loudest thing in the room, expect it to come down rather than disappear. And don't run this if the sound you actually want to keep is itself a small voice tangled up in the crying, you risk losing both.
